[Case Study] Solving issues with fluid wear through Dycron treatment!

Solve issues with fluid wear using Dycron treatment!

We received an inquiry from a machinery manufacturer regarding the nozzle (cast φ50×300L) of their cleaning line, which is experiencing wear due to fluid pressure loads on the inner surface. Issues: 1. Every time a leak occurs due to erosion wear, it is replaced as a consumable, resulting in labor and costs. 2. They were considering a thick application of hard chrome plating (approximately 150μ).

[Case Study] Protecting Products and Reducing Equipment Running Costs!

Protect products and reduce the running costs of equipment! "Aluminum film for scratch prevention"

There was a problem with the turn bar that redirects the product (aluminum film), as it caused scratches on the product due to friction. To address this, a fluororesin tape was applied, but it wore out quickly due to the product's resistance, requiring replacement every week. Issues: 1. Scratches are made on the product (pharmaceutical packaging aluminum film). 2. The fluororesin tape is applied, but its lifespan is short (replaced once a week). 3. The replacement process is cumbersome, requiring the equipment to be stopped each time.

Friction countermeasures for the drive unit: "Microdent treatment"

Solving various problems! Introducing measures to prevent wear in the drive components.

Yahata Screw's "Microdent Treatment" offers a wide range of products suitable for friction countermeasures in drive components. It excels in corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, and wear resistance compared to hard chrome, and due to its low dust generation, it solves problems that cannot be addressed by electroless nickel or hard chrome. It is used in various applications, primarily in precision and rust-resistant requirements, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment, FPD manufacturing equipment, cleanroom structural components, suction tables, and aircraft parts. 【Features】 ■ Superior corrosion resistance and chemical resistance compared to hard chrome ■ Thin, uniform film thickness with high adhesion ■ Low dust generation and excellent wear resistance ■ Excellent light scattering properties, preventing stray reflections from positioning lasers ■ Beautiful jet-black finish that adds a sense of luxury to products *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Die casting: Dramatically improving the lifespan and quality of molds through wear resistance and surface treatment.

BALINIT coating dramatically improves the lifespan and quality of die-casting molds.

In the die-casting industry, there is a constant demand for high precision of parts and reduction of cycle times. The BALINIT coating from Oerlikon Balzers offers extremely high wear resistance and corrosion resistance, effectively protecting molds from seizing and heat cracks. This extends the lifespan of molds and achieves stable molding quality. BALINIT coating: ■ Suppression of seizing, heat cracks, corrosion, and wear ■ Improved release properties and stabilization of surface quality The following benefits are available: ■ Reduction of scrap and extension of service life ■ Reduction of maintenance and replacement costs ■ Optimal surface quality and optimal quality of die-cast parts

[Case Study] Solving issues with powder wear through Dykron treatment!

Solve the issues with powder wear using Dychron treatment!

The inner surface of the metal piping wears out prematurely because powdered resin is being conveyed through it. The wear is particularly significant at angled sections (such as bend pipes at 45° and 90°) and at the junctions of tee pipes that branch out in two directions, necessitating regular replacement of the metal piping.

[Case Studies] 15 Common Concerns: 5. Wear Resistance

Recommended for those who want to extend the lifespan of parts! We solve metal issues with surface treatment.

In mechanical parts, there is a risk of decreased precision or destruction due to metal-to-metal friction and wear, such as with metal gears and bearings. Current countermeasures include treatments like chrome plating, but these face issues such as environmental concerns and unevenness of the coating. This collection of case studies includes examples of problem-solving, such as the adoption of the "Protonics System," which is suitable for improving the frequency of part replacements. 【Published Examples】 <before> ■ In precision resin molding, damage due to wear and seizure of the ejector pins was a problem. <after> ■ The sliding properties and durability were improved, leading to a dramatic improvement in replacement frequency. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Ainix Processing Achievements: Extending the Lifespan of Aluminum Die Casting Molds

It is possible to reduce heat checks in the shape section! Achieving improved release properties.

We would like to introduce the achievements of "Ainix treatment," which can reduce maintenance frequency and enhance productivity. Previously, we performed nitriding treatment (Tuftride and Kanak), but cracks occurred after about 20,000 pieces. After the cracks appeared, we reused them through regrinding, but the productivity after correction was halved. After Ainix treatment, there were no cracks even after exceeding 120,000 pieces. We were able to achieve more than six times the lifespan without stopping production. 【Overview】 ■ Issues before treatment - Nitriding treatment (Tuftride and Kanak) was performed, but cracks occurred after about 20,000 pieces. - Reused through regrinding, but the production count after correction was halved. ■ Situation after Ainix treatment - No cracks occurred even after exceeding 120,000 pieces. - Achieved more than six times the lifespan. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
